As a little teaser viral for the interactive resource’s release date. Frank has sent out lots of late Xmas cards apologising and pointing people to this video to explain more.

Here are a few test images for Della’s Record shop. This will feature in a section of the DVD where you can view CCTV footage on Terry’s monitor.

An inital concept for the promotional side of our production. This is a concept for 1 of 14 character based posters to be featured on walls, bus stops, cinema poster boxes (for our previews) and whereever we can put them.

Danny Klunky’s car has now been fully textured inside and out. Here is a short test video clip to show the texturing and a little demo of the vehicle rig were using.

Here is a very short ‘v’animation of Frank Lamb’s mobile expansion for the second scenario of the DVD.

We have produced a range of live action animatics. These are here to help us pace the animation and develop a choppy, edited look for the production. If all goes well you will see a fully animated version of this scene with our 3D characters.

Here is a slight but very important clothing change for Johnny. Making his clothes darker is crucial to his role in the first scenario.

Here is an initial animation and compositing test for Johnny Trend in the Silent City Street.

Here is a promo shot for Silent City’s entertainment district. This shot includes all original Studio Distract content, a cinema, fully rigged background car, industrial wheelie bin and many other hand built 3D assets that make this scene complete.

Here is our initial test of using motion capture data with our rigged character ‘Johnny Trend’. Due to it being an initial test there is no facial animation and you may notice some slightly odd deformation of the body model.

Here we have Mr Babb the taxi driver all modeled textured and even having a complete facial rig setup, ready to be animated to a eastern European soundtrack. At this stage his small Mohawk style hair cut has not been added as we are developing a way of doing this in the most efficient way. We hope you like him.

We are currently testing our motion capture suit to integrate it into our Silent City Streets pipeline. This is the suit that will give us the base animation for all bi-pedal characters within the DVD.

Here is a quick test animation and render demonstrating our bespoke vehicle animation rig on our Hero car within scenario one of Silent City Streets. Notice the wheel squash on impact, the flowing tilt of the car as it goes upon 2 wheels and the suspension emulation.

Our model of Enid is now complete. Initial shading and texturing has been added to give a preliminary look and feel. At this point her body and face have not been rigged or animated.

Here is pretty little Tracy in all her glory. She has been created in 3D based on our initial designs. Basic shading and texturing has been added for the time being. We have also uploaded a set of facial expressions formed using our in house facial animation rig.

Eddie takes no s@%t, he’s tough because he has to be. He’s seen too much since he moved to Silent City and he’s protecting his own.

Enid’s sight isn’t what it used to be and she has a growing paranoia around the next Nazi attack. But she’ll be ready, oh she’ll be ready.

Largeman gives out all work orders in Silent City, you’ll be working for him if you’re investigating any scene in his city.

Theodore has lived on the Silent City Streets for some time now and has seen it all. Although what he has seen is often through the angry eyes of a man who has had a few too many White lightenings.

This is the initial design for one of Episode 1’s crucial characters.

Here is a further development sketch of our graffiti girl, all that is needed now is the required face mask and she is ready to rock.

Here is some more development for 3 of the Silent City residents. Below from left to right we have; The young mum, The Handy Woman and Matt Cheung. These development sketches will be the foundation from where we will start to create their 3D realisations.

Here is the first look at ‘zone one’ of the cyclist scenario. The zone will feature Frank Lamb’s Chippery ‘Chips 4 U’, among other highlights still in production. We hope you like the 2d illustration style we have been developing.

All that’s left now is for some foley audio to be added and he’s ready to roll.

Here we have Franky Lamb behind his control centre ready to serve up some famous bacon sizzle. This is the product of much visual development work, striving to create a unique gritty look for our new production.

Here is our second animation test of Frank Lamb with his wise words of wisdom around what happened the day of the crash outside his chip shop. This test is before we have refined the facial expressions and lip sync. Once we have refined all of this the next step is to combine our animation with 2d illustration style rendering.
